Tip for the Time Challenged
Tip 1 – Admit you have no control over time
Let me explain because I know this sounds radical and defeatist.
There are only 60 minutes in every hour of every day. There are only 24 hours in every day of every week. There are only 7 days in every week. There are only 52 weeks in every year.
There is nothing you can do to change that - so just work with it.
How many times do you use “I didn’t have time” as a reason for not doing something? My opinion is that it is not a REASON – but an EXCUSE. And a pretty dim one at that.
It’s true. We don’t have the time to do everything we would like, especially if you have your own business and a family and – well, a life!
I see this first hand when I talk to small business owners about what they would do if they had more time by working with a Virtual Assistant. The possibilities are endless it seems.
So, my first bit of advice based on this tip for the time-challenged is this:
- accept the fact that you only have so much time to work with
- accept the fact that you can not accomplish everything you want (well) without assistance
I’ll certainly be posting more on this issue - so stay tuned in!
